@Rabbi,

nice to hear from you that you honored X3 properly, though it is sad that you tried so hard to fix it.
The falcon ones that released somewhere between mid or late 2008 runs fine.
Mine's bought in December 23, 2008 and till now it runs just fine. Play 2/3 hours a day on an average, my highest playtime was 12 PM till 7 PM for NFS Shift.

mine lasted for 7 months before it rrod.You must the lucky ones not to have the rrod or had better build quality.I bought my 360 on February 2007 and it finally rrod in september 2007 and after many attempts of fixing it from shops to buying motherboards didnt fix it either and on December 2008 i called it a day and got a PS3 instead and its still fine no issues unlike 360 with a hog of issues in between.But to be honest 360 gave me a better and revolutionized gaming life rather than the PS3 still want to play gears but.What could have been 360 now if there were no rrod.

Hey man i came across your post and i just wanted to say my girlfriend last night through my xbox 360 into the pool while I was asleep and awoke to my 'real' baby at the bottom of the pool! I quickly retreived it and let it sun dry today. I have been blow drying it for the last 2 hours and will continue this process for the next couple of days and hope mine will comeback from the dead like yours! I will keep it posted!

Someday, it will be inside a glass casing in a museum. Gamers would go "Woah!" because it's the only 360 that didn't RROD. Lolz

@ Yert,

RROD is caused by overheating. Yep, but the title would have sounded boring if I used the word "malfunctioned". And you wouldn't believe how many people accidentally damage their 360, take it to warranty and blame it on the RROD.

RRoD and water damage are unrelated if I'm not mistaken.

Still, amazing that it works, especially if it was on when the rain happened.
