The Xbox 360 uses DVD-9 which stores 8.54 GB of space.

For gaming purpose, they will definitely skip BD, it will create a huge public outcry from the gamers who dont own Blu-ray. My uncle accidentally got me a HD-DVD with my 360, lol, I am thinking of selling it on Clickbd.com. And for people who already bought HD-DVD, I dont think they will be too happy. It would have been great if Microsoft provided some sort of exchange program you know?

Nope, Blu Ray won’t make it to the 360. It doesn’t make sense on so many levels. Think about it for a moment. I have a 360 and you bought one now with a Blu Ray drive. It’s going to create confusion among developers, should the game fit on a 4.7 GB DVD or a 25 GB BD?

But I see no reason for a Blu-Ray add-on. PS3 is selling like wildfire partly due to that it’s an inexpensive Blu-Ray player, and Microsoft can cash in on the potential.
