@Alex Well the playstation 2 still seems to be a cash cow for sony & sony said will support it as long as it’s in demand.Playstation 2 is a snap to make games for and developers could pump out alot of games in a year on playstation 2 & make alot of easy cash also.

…what kind of new games are still being released for the PS2? The games that I see “new” are the games that are for everything with a screen! the kinds of titles that are on PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, DS, PSP… and the PS2 has obvious graphical downgrades from most other systems… so are there REALLY any good new games coming out for the PS2?

well no i suck for people that own new ps3 because it does not play the ps2 game that suck who want to take out there old ps2 that it work some time… i have ps3 and 360 …..

I still have my PS2 and even though i have the earliest PS3 ( that is backwards compatible ) i still enjoy playing the Madden series games on it. I also am a proud 360 owner.

The problem with the 10 year life cycle statement is that it was not given out to releave consumers it was to say to developers that our console will make your software profitable for 10years which it does not. How many 3rd party triple A titles came out in 2008 for the PS2?

Hey ps2fan the card reader will not read in a PS2 game, you have to copy the data to an internal virtual PS2 memory card and then the games will recognize the game saves.

eh, tom I have a ps2 memory card port converter cant seem to regester on my ps3.. like to play all my ps2’s game on my 60gb ps3 can you or anyone help??? what do I suppose to do??

My PS3 is backwards compatable (the early models are), so he is not completely wrong. And 360 fan boys no need to get hissy, he’s talking about the PS2 not the PS3 so don’t go starting a flame war. I don’t use mine all to often anymore, almost never now that i got that memory card converter thing so i can port my save files to the PS3 (no more bringing out the PS2 just to impress friends with my pro evo 6 highlights)
