You can also do that with Hamachi, but yes, that requires the game to have LAN support.

Anyway, this is utter crap by Activision.

activision is following EA on this…no LAN\servers, only a worldwide activision server…like eaonline.
while this step is a great drawback for piracy,im sure people will find out a way to play these games online for free…like the private servers for WoW…games that will stay in the market for a long time will always have free underground private servers…but CoD doesnt fall under the section of games here to stay :p
nfs world online does fall under it though.

I guess the game is awesome because it’s short. That said, the campaign could have made more sense though. Plus, no dedicated PC servers?!

awsum game, but too short to savor…the story line should have been longer…but the gameplay, graphics, and of course, the legendary crystal clear real life sound of the COD series….simply awsum!!
