Gamers World Bangladesh started as a small hobby of mine and I never imagined it would grow to such an extent. Right now, around 30,000 gamers from all over the globe visit Gamersworldbd for daily gaming news and rumors.

Truth be told, we need your help to grow even bigger. I’m not talking about any donations. What we want, dear readers, is to help spread the word of Gamers World Bangladesh.

Modern Warfare 2 Army 32 Times Bigger Than Bangladesh Army

Activision has said that a whopping 8 million players are um… playing Modern Warfare 2. That is a heck of a lot if you ask me. In fact it is 32 times bigger than our Bangladesh Army (currently at 250,000 personnel Wikipedia). Not only that, but that figure is 11 times bigger than our Army, Navy and Air Force combined. Yikes, we don’t want to mess with Modern Warfare 2 players now do we?

Well, it’s October 09, instead of January 09. I’m sorry I couldn’t get back to publishing on Gamersworldbd. I decided not to write at all instead of posting erratically as I’ve been really busy this year. But I’ve found the number of subscribers to my blog gradually increase even with no new posts whatsover. I can’t keep you guys out in the cold anymore, and I’m glad to report that I’m back on Gamersworldbd. I aim to write more consistently, at least once a week, so stay tuned folks.

I’ve become very busy with a lot of stuffs and have fallen seriously ill and so, can’t maintain the site regularly. It was going really great and I’m hoping our readers and visitors will endure with patience untill the end of 2008. We’ll be all back in 2009!

It is with great pleasure we announce that the all new Gamers World Bangladesh Blog has gone live. It is 6:30 in the evening today, and after some last minute tweakings and tinkerings, the new site has finally gone live.

Among the major changes include a complete design overhaul, lightweight and more efficient coding so that the site loads faster, improved navigation and better compatibility with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.

Although we have done extensive testing on our servers, but a couple of problems have emerged as the site has gone live. If you find that something is not working right, or you are getting the “old theme”, bear with patience and we will have it fixed.

So, what Wait are you waiting for? Head on and try out the new site now. Any comments, bug reports and assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Just to let you know that Gamers World Bangladesh Blog is back in business and we have switched to our new blog theme. I have spent weeks designing it from scratch and testing it thoroughly. That is the reason for the recent inactivity on this blog.

But as always, a few bugs might appear. So don’t hesitate to contact me to let me know and hope you like the blog design. I will be spending the following months tweaking it as this is still an early-release version. Just leave your comment to let me know how you like it.

Don’t think that we’ve been sitting idle all this time. In addition to digging up the latest and greatest news, we have changed the layout of our blog. In addition, we are offering free full feeds and giving away 5 NFS Carbon Collector’s Edition DVD!

CHANGE IN LAYOUT:

Now all the articles are to your immediate left and the sidebars on the right. This makes it more easier to read and quickly find out what you are looking for. We also have a plan to add a navigation pane at the top of the page to make it even more effortless to move around the site.

This is just to let you know that we have moved to our very own domain http://www.gamersworldbd.com/ from our previous BlogSpot domain. If you type in our old domain address (http://gamersworldbd.blogspot.com/) it will forward to our new domain! Neat, huh?

Along with our domain I have done some improvements to this blog (namely the switch to three-column format) which I hope will benefit you guys to find what you are looking for and navigate the site more quickly. The blog is still under construction so there might be things which are out-of-place or missing. I will continue to add improved features to this blog.

And it was pretty tough on getting this domain. I had some trouble with my previous registrar, had to cancel their package and transfer this domain twice! Later, I had to set it up so that it could point to google’s blogspot server (where my blog is hosted for free). All in all, I am glad that the new domain is working wothout a glitch. The All New Gamers World Bangladesh Blog

Well folks, I’ve been neglecting you a lot in the past few months, and I want to apologize.

Well, don’t blame me! I’ve been really, really, really busy playing video games and studying for my exams. Well none of those are over, but I want to continue my blog due to the strong support (and requests) that I have been receiving.

So to make it up to you, here is an all-new and redesigned blog! I’m still tinkering with this and that, so expect to see some changes in the following days. Also, don’t fret if something doesn’t work or doesn’t look right. It will still take some time to nail down the final design and iron out the problems.

The Worst Copyright Infringement Ever

Ever since Gamers World Bangladesh started (first as a magazine and then this website) we have a few copycats on our tails. But by far, this is the worst attempt to copy our website ever!

With fame comes headaches. Recently, Gamers World Bangladesh has been a popular target for copycats. A few sites like us have sprung up (even they publish their non-professional magazine) but a recent search at Yahoo groups revealed the worst attempt, ever.

A certain Yahoo group (I am not mentioning their name), has been claiming that they have published the first ever Online Bangladeshi Games Magazine. Okay, like whatever. We all know who was the first one, right? Anyway, they were so amazed with our articles that they are collecting it and putting it up as a magazine at their forum, claiming that we(!) stole it from them! They are also blaming us about a lot of things that even I cannot relate.

Next month they are going to publish a collection of our articles saying that it was stolen from them. Way to go LOSERS!

And so pathetic they are that the whole group is devoid of real members. The owner has made a couple of Yahoo IDs and have added them to his group to boost his groups membership numbers. Even if you post a message, no real reply will come. Only the owner trying to act like a different person – and the similarities are always obvious.

Recently, he has taken matters to the extreme. Now he has turned to hacking other Yahoo accounts in order to add them to his group. He even hacked mine, once or twice. No matter how much they try, good always wins over evil.

So readers, remember. Gamers World Bangladesh is the first ever magazine (online or off) and now we are the first website in Bangladesh dedicated to games only (see Prothom-Alo). That’s a lot of firsts, right?

And we have only one forum at http://forum.gamersworldbd.com/ which redirects you to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gamers-world_bd/ If you see any work(s) and/or article(s) that you think that might have been taken from Gamers World Bangladesh, then please report it immediately. We need the help of the public to battle this ongoing war against copyright infringement.
