New Deus Ex: The Fall Teased, PS4, Xbox One Pricing, Halo Goes Mobile, The Last of Us 10/10 Reviews

Let me just say. The Last of Us is blowing away reviewers and my expectations are at an all time high for this game. But more on that later.

First, Eidos teased a new Deus Ex game titled “The Fall”. A teaser has been released which you can watch below. It only shows the logo, a voiceover saying “Are we ready to begin?” and the date 05/06/13.

If you’re wondering if the PS4 will cost upwards of $700 (as did the PS3) once it releases, you can breathe easy. Although the official prices have yet to be announced, gaming industry analyst Michael Pachter predicts the PS4 to cost $349 on launch. The Xbox One isn’t that far behind, predicted to be $399. I don’t know about you guys but 350 bucks for a next generation console sounds sweet to me.

Next it seems Halo is going to mobile Windows 8 devices with the upcoming Halo: Spartan Assault. It is a top-down twin stick shooter. Watch the announcement trailer, gameplay and interview footage below.

If you’re all about diving headfirst into video game lore and the background story and simply refuse to start playing a game before reading up 5 books on it and then writing a thesis about it, well, errrr, you’re in luck. Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag will be getting its own novel and artbook.

Now, boy have I saved the best for last (did you just skim through this post?). It seems that The Last of Us is definitely setting an impression on reviewers.

The very first review dubbed it “the best game of the generation” and awarding it a 5/5. The praise haven’t stopped there. Official Playstation Magazine UK gave the game a 10/10, saying “A work of art in which amazing sights and sounds fuel an emotionally draining, constantly compelling end of days adventure. This is Naughty Dog pushing the PS3 to its absolute limit. Over to you PS4.”

It doesn’t stop there. Oh no. Edge Online also gave the game a 10/10 (I’m getting hot and bothered here). The game’s “epic” they said.

Obviously the reviews embargoes are still in place and these are the leaked review scores. But I already have my hopes set very high for The Last of Us.
