Splinter Cell Conviction Will Have Spit-Screen Co-op

Ubisoft has confirmed that Splinter Cell: Conviction will have split-screen co-op. A screenshot has been released on the Splinter Cell facebook page by Ubisoft.

I think this is a wise decision by Ubisoft as most Bangladeshi gamers can’t play co-op if it’s an online only feature.

Splinter Cell: Conviction is set to release on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on February 23 2010 (US) and 26 Feb (EU).

Most probably, yes. But how will two players work on the PC? Either two gamepads or one gamepad + mouse & keyboard. Read the co-op preview @ http://pc.ign.com/articles/105/1056457p1.html

  3. [Update] Ubisoft has once again delayed Splinter Cell Conviction’s release date to April 2010.wtf….i’ve been waiting for this game over 3 years, since when ubisoft had announced it back on 2007.Very disapointing…….

Ah, nice find. I was just going to publish this news. Bro, I feel very sorry for u. I too have been waiting for this game for what seems like an eternity. Word on the street is that all these delays are because SC: Conviction isn’t up to the standard, and many fear the quality of this game. 😥

  5. its a real shame they are releasing the pc version with their new non functional DRM security. I won’t buy anything from Ubisoft again until they retract that garbage from their games and apologize to us. It requires constant online connection to play any of their new games coming out. Want to play a single player game, better connect to the net. Want to play at your cottage on your laptop with no net connection… you are welcome to play anything but new Ubisoft games because you need the net to play by yourself now. Why not just make us play MMORPG games instead. Host the whole game online for that matter and do not make us buy the software and then tell us we can not use it unless you tell us we can. Look online at the hundreds if not thousands of responses showing and telling you what this security means. You have lost customers for life and in fact made enemies who are now working against Ubisoft. Smart.

This is one step towards the end of PC gaming or one step towards the end of Ubisoft. If you buy their crap, this is the new future for ALL games. If you let them go under, we might just start purchasing games again and keep the industry alive.

This is the same BS the music industry attempted with security measures in their cds/dvds… people were sick of it and did not enjoy paying more and more so that they could implement higher security against people that were buying the cds because that is who it always effects, the customer. It never effects the thief and they would have never ever bought the game in the first place.

Did they ever think that sales are down because they want 70 to 80 dollars now for new games. Technology was supposed to make things easier, customizable, cheaper and yet Ubisoft wants to make it harder to use, disfunctional, expensive… and then they have the audacity to ask why PC sales are slumping. It does not help that it costs us hundreds of dollars all the time to keep up with the latest tech and then we have to shell out big bucks for the software too… Eventually you run out of money and can have a customer steal your game and give it publicity, tell their friends, maybe even buy it later… or treat them like garbage and blame them for all your slumping sales so they steal it regardless of affordability because they do not like you anymore.

When it comes to publishers, I am part of a group of 200,000 + gamers that refuse to pay a single cent to Blizzard, Activision, Ubisoft. These are developers that have been buying out huge name games, forcing the production groups to work frantically to get games done way before they are ready and then charging more and more for their games to see what people are WILLING to pay… not what it is worth or what makes it affordable… no no just the max people are willing to pay. These companies want money and don’t care if you enjoy the games you buy, just that you gave them money for it.

Thats it.. Imagine artists painted just enough to get paid but cared nothing more for their art. How many fantastic pieces of work would come out…. very few.
Hmm I just answered myself to why the industry sucks… They want guaranteed releases just like the music industry did. They forced groups to release music early so they made cds with 1-3 decent songs and the rest was filler. People stopped wanting filler and went to other means for purchasing music or getting what they liked, through theft or singles bought online. This took away the massive profits these frauds were and that made them go on a man hunt for pirates. The pirates have never bought anything from them though… ever… so will cutting out the pirate increase sales? Absolutely not.
