BioWare: Kinect Will Not Take Off If “Price Is Too High”

BioWare VP Greg Zeschuk has told Eurogamer that the pricing for Kinect and PlayStation Move needs to be at a right level or “they won’t take off”.

“I love the no controller element but it’s going to come down to execution, how precise and how good it is.

With regard to all these things, I worry about price points. Ray [Muzyka, BioWare CEO] and I work on both the development and the business side, so we’re excited from a game design perspective but we also look at the practical reality of making these technologies successful. If the price is too high, they won’t take off.”

Microsoft believes that hardcore gamers will be the first to buy Kinect.

Kinect costs $149.99 and has a November 2010 release date.
