PlayStation Premium Service Named PlayStation Plus, Coming June 29 2010

We’ve all been waiting for news on the premium service for PSN. Sony has announced at E3 2010 it will be called PlayStation Plus which will cost $49.99 per year or $17.99 for 3 months.

PlayStation Plus will give subscribers free stuff such as free minis and PSOne Classics of full game trials. There are also discounts on selected games and early access to demos and betas.

However, when your subscription expires, your access to (already downloaded) free games will be cut. Ouch.
