StarCraft II Sells 1.5 Million Copies In 48 Hours

Blizzard has just said that StarCraft II sold 1 million units in its first 24 hours on sale, and 1.5 million units during the first 48 hours.

GameStop has said that this is the biggest PC gaming launch since World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.

“We launched StarCraft II in 11 different languages and on 5 different continents because we wanted to make sure as many players as possible were able to log on and play on day one,” said Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime.

“We’re pleased that so many people around the world have already picked up a copy of the game, and we look forward to welcoming even more players to Battle.net(R) in the weeks and months ahead.”

And it’s getting solid reviews too.
