Medal Of Honor Launches, Review Roundup IGN Gives 6/10, Plus Trailer

Medal of Honor has launched today and we have all the reviews from the web rounded up below.

Watch the launch trailer below after the break.

IGN gave the game a 6/10, criticizing:

“About two minutes later, I was cursing Medal of Honor as I desperately tried to figure out exactly which 10-square-foot area I needed to enter to start the next mandatory scripted sequence. While you’ll encounter both of these types of moments in Medal of Honor, the latter eventually overwhelmed the former. With serious stability and performance issues on console, level design that tends more toward turkey shoot than firefight, and a story and characters that stumble in their attempts at relevance and pathos, Medal of Honor walks into a quagmire it never really escapes from.”

I too had high hopes for Medal of Honor. I’m still getting this by the way 😛

  3. @TheGamingWiz

Seriously, I had never expected this result from a game like Medal of Honor, especially when it’s coming from Dice. Their recent release Battlefield Bad Company 2 was such a successful title in the series and perhaps the best. Patently, who would expect this result from the same developer after their last game being such a superhit(at least I wasn’t expecting this)? So it came to me almost as a shock. 😯 But still I’m going to get it anyway because I’ve played almost every MOH title that has released till yet and never a missed a game in the series so far. So, I don’t want to miss out a Medal of Honor title just because it got a low score from the critics.

I hate to break in but DICE only made the multiplayer of Medal of Honor and thats the best part of the game 😎 the singleplayer campaign was developed by EA Los Angeles. After its shortcomings still it will get a spin by most people as it has the call of duty modern warfare formula within.I wont lie but i never played a Medal of Honor game myself before. This will be my first shot simply because of the call of duty formula and again to say the truth i have played every moment of call of duty series in stark contrast to medal of honor games.Whatever DICE did is fantastic EA should have given DICE the authority to build the singleplayer as well if so then we would have got a serious call of duty challenge.

sorry for the mistake but the multiplayer sucks too 👿 EA cannot defeat Activision with a underwhelmed copy of call of duty 💡

Oh, yeah forgot it ❗ Dice made the multiplayer portion of the game but it’s still harrowing that EA LA could have made it far more better than what critics score is telling us. To say the truth, It kinda dismayed me from playing the game. 🙁 But I’ll still get it as I’ve stated before.

  8. @sng425

Same here. Shocked, but going to get it. It may not be so bad after all. EA has said that day one sales are “great”. More @ http://www.gamersworldbd.com/2010/10/ea-medal-of-honor-first-day-us-sales-are-great.html

  9. @sng425 & TheGamingWiz

dont be sad guys i have played a bit of medal of honor and its really good  you wont be disappointed but this game isnt epic like Modern Warfare 2 either but the game is good enough to proclaim the best Medal of Honor game yet 😎 I am loving the afghan alqaeda and taliban themes present in the game matching with practicality 😈

  10. and the game seems highly optimized {PC Version} in stark contrast to the console versions where frame rates plague the whole game 💡
