Kotaku also says that the PSP2 will feature 1 GB of RAM, twice that of Xbox 360. Compared to the 64 MB of RAM the PSPgo and PSP 3000 have.compared to the 64 MB of RAM the PSPgo and PSP 3000 have.

In short so far: “Dual analog sticks. No UMD. A bigger screen. More powerful tech. Touch controls.”

However, all of these are rumors and Sony is yet to confirm anything officially.

Speaking to Gamespot, a Sony rep told: “People are reporting on rumors and calling them details. As you know, we don’t coment on rumors or speculation.”

  1. I’ll miss the UMD 😥 😥

  2. Sounds good, and by the way, these are not real pictures…these are fan made mockups.

Hey man, its been a long time since you were last here. Anyway, yes those are fan mockups. There is no official PSP2 picture and it also caused some confusion in the previous PSP2 post.

  4. 😮 😮 😮 If the specs are similar or even higher than Xbox 360 , then the specs will also be similar or even higher than PS3.

If this is true, that is gonna be one heck of a system. Hopefully microsoft will come up with a portable that supports 3D.

I have my doubts about the specs, but Kotaku is a well trusted source. PSP2 just might be the handheld console that I take seriously, if it outputs decent HD graphics.
