Kinect Sells For $149 While Costing Only $56 To Make

A report from UBM Tech Insights say that Kinect cost only $56 to manufacture while it retails for $149.

The report took apart a Kinect machine and found that the single biggest expenditure on it was $17 worth of PrimeSense reference system, including the cameras, microphones and processor. PrimeSense is the company behind Kinect’s technology.
