New Open World Tomb Raider Reboot

Details have surfaced about a rumored Tomb Raider series reboot. The game is set in an open-world, free to explore setting.

This details comes after a fact sheet had been leaked on the internet (which has now been pulled).

You get to control an “inexperienced” Lara Croft on a mysterious and dangerous island off the coast of Japan occupied by “mysterious enemies” bent on killing her. She crash lands there after her “research vessel” sinks during a storm.

This game will mostly be about exploration and survival. It appears that the game would follow a progression similar to Metroid‘s, requiring the acquisition of new items to unlock areas.

The leaked fact sheet states, “React and adapt to the island by using only that which you can salvage from the environment like climbing axes, rope, and machetes that can be used to unlock new traversal and combat gameplay options.”

  2. This Game has potential if they can pull it off.
If only they went to the king of open world games a.k.a rockstar for assistance I would be sure this game will rock. Other devs usually mess up open world games.

  3. I’m a really loyal Tomb Raider fan (started liking the series from Tomb Raider Legends on Xbox 360). I really hope they don’t mess this up.

  4. Not Interested at all…….
