Tomb Raider Reboot Influenced By Uncharted?
Square Enix has planned an ambitious Tomb Raider reboot and if they can pull it off, it’ll propel Lady Croft to the lofty heights that she commanded from a by gone era. After all, it isn’t hard to draw similarities with Uncharted, the gameplay is similar and so are the settings.
So, how much is the latest Tomb Raider reboot influenced by one of the greatest IPs of this generation, Uncharted? When asked, Karl Stewart of Crystal Dynamics responded:
“Uncharted influences everyone’s game not just Tomb Raider. How can it not? You don’t get better then 30+ game of the years.”
Karl followed up with:
“You’re going to have to wait and see. Too early to get into specifics.”
That got us excited.
Square Enix has not confirmed a release date, but it has been confirmed that the game will release on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

It’s funny how Tomb Raider’s developers are now being “influenced” by new ips like Uncharted. When Uncharted when developed drew influences from previous generation Tomb Raider titles..

This actually seems more sarcastic than funny because it’s hard to believe that a franchise that is running for almost 14 years is now being influenced by such new IPs like Uncharted.
