Homefront: “An Emotional Roller Coaster” Unlike Anything You’ve Experienced Before

It’s one of the reasons why Homefront is on the top of Gamersworldbd’s list of most anticipated game in 2011.

You see, Homefront isn’t your typical shooter. Rather than you invading the bad guy’s homeland, the bad guys invade your home. This presents all sorts of emotional buttons for the developers to push.

Speaking with CVG, Homefront’s community manager Jeremy Greiner has said that the game will be “an emotional roller coaster.”

“At times, [gun fights and emotional narrative] happen at the same time, and things can get pretty intense. For example, you’re defending a house [from a siege] with a baby crying. The audio is dropped out, there’s no theatrical music, no Rambo style ‘let’s kill people’ feel – just a baby crying.”

“It takes you on a roller-coaster of emotions. I’ve never really felt at all emotional during a single-player campaign in other shooters. I do in this one.”

Homefront is set to release on March 8 2011 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
