IGN has reviewed the upcoming survival horror Dead Space 2 and gave it a 9/10 overall. It reports that combat its more “satisfying” than it was in the original game, and that a vast number of rewards and unlocks attract repeat plays. Both factors, says IGN, help make it the “best haunted house attraction ever”.

“Dead Space 2 is more than just an action game and it’s more than a survival horror game — it’s a game that tells a really personal story about a guy who has been seriously scarred by the events around him. That premise alone makes it interesting, but Visceral Games melds it with rewarding combat, shocking enemies, and huge set pieces before tossing it into a world that’s truly creepy and scary.”

finished it. its a good game. but not worthy of 9. i would rate it 7.5 becoz of the lack of a Great story as one. And whatever happened to the amazing boss fights ?? i dont recall fighting one proper boss in the entire game ( last boss excluded ). But dont get me wrong, the game is really good. Jus dont expect a spike in awesomeness like uncharted 2 from 1.
