Bioshock Infinite Sells More Than 3 Million, A New Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Trailer And Mass Effect 4

Welcome back to Gamersworldbd. Starting today we will be regularly running a feature on the top 5 gaming news/articles on the internet that you simply cannot miss. So, let’s dive right into it.

First off, BioShock Infinite has sold 3.7 million units since it released. Not surprising, considering how bloody good the game is.

Next up, we have a new Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag trailer for you and certainly depicts the golden age of piracy.

If this console generation seems like an endless iteration of (admittedly, fantastic) games, look no further. Take Two has announced that they are working on a “Groundbreaking New IP.”

Bioshock Infinte

Fourth, some Mass Effect news. BioWare talked with OXM about the possible Mass Effect 4 spin-offs.

And to finish it off, Guild Wars 2 microtransactions are doing really well in the PC MMO scene.

Until next time.

  1. @The gaming wiz started this beautiful game(Bioshock infinite) lately. I was completely stunned by the astonishing visuals & got instantly hooked on it as I spent my first few minutes on the floating city of Columbia. No wonder why it hit the 3m milestone so fast.

Welcome back bro! I simply cannot wait to play that game. I pre-ordered on Steam and it’s been sitting there ever since. I’ve yet to play Tomb Raider and ACIII and still to finish Far Cry 3. Only one more month and my exams will be over!

  3. @the gaming wiz

Yeah, thanks for the warm welcome. I bet you’ll enjoy the game and its such a coincidence that I also haven’t played any of those games you mentioned apart from Far Cry 3. Talking about FC3, I can distinctly remember the awesomeness and all the fun I had playing that game. It really was a remarkable experience and tell you what this game easily made it to the top 3 games of my last years goty list alongside Dishonored and Max Payne 3.

Oh And there’s one thing i wanted to ask, I didn’t play the first two games of Bioshock and I think I’m missing out. But Well, I actually don’t like missing out on any thing. So i wanted to ask you if the first two games are worth it. If so, I would get the ultimate rapture edition on ps3(which contains the first two games along with the two dlcs released for the 2nd one). I’m asking for your opinion since I’m still quite a bit skeptical about the earlier games from the series.

It’s a nice coincidence indeed. Ubi really outdid themselves with FC3, I’ve never had so much fun in a jungle. My only gripe is that it doesn’t let us manually save and the checkpoint system is flawed.

BioShock 1 was ground breaking when it came out and every gamer should play it. But if you try to play it now, the controls will be wonky. BioShock 2 is much more streamlined so I’d recommend that. However, if you haven’t been spoiled to the “twist” in BioShock 1, I’d say play that one too just for the story and atmosphere.

I can tell from the high metacritic scores that those two games were indeed good. But sometimes a lot of good games come out simultaneously and you simply don’t get the time to play all of them at the same time. And that’s what happened to me when the original Bioshock was released, I couldn’t take out the time to play it and didn’t play the sequel as I missed the first one. But Bioshock infinite instantly caught my eyes when it was first announced back in 2010 and I’ve been itching to play it since then. Now that it’s finally released after taking a lot of time, I couldn’t resist myself from playing it. And I don’t know nothing about that “twist” so don’t spoil it for me! I will get the UR edition and find out myself. Also I certainly was engrossed in FC3 but somehow I failed to notice that the checkpoint system was flawed. Anyway, Thanks for the quick reply. I’m currently a little busy with my studies, so I’ll try to catch up with you and Gwbd within a few days.

“A lot of good games come out simultaneously and you simply don’t get the time to play all of them at the same time”

Story of my life bro, wish I had more time! But yah you should definitely play those 2. I’m still to get into Infinite, but would you say it has met or exceeded your expectations?

“Story of my life bro, wish I had more time!”

Same here, bro. I wish someone had invented a time machine for me through which I could head directly to the time after my retirement when I would have plenty of time!

“I’m still to get into Infinite, but would you say it has met or exceeded your expectations?”

I have only been able to play the first 2-3 hours of the game and the experience was great. However, to some extent I found the gameplay to be slightly similar to Dishonored’s except that it lacked the stealth components. I’m especially talking about the “Vigors ” which have a fair resemblance to some of the powers of Dishonored, such as the ability to posses someone or something. But Bioshock infinite does have a uniqueness in its own right and I’d definitely say that it has met my anticipations based on my first few glimpses from the game. But I can’t say if it has exceeded them as I haven’t finished the game yet. I will post my verdict here once I’ve finished it. Though I’m afraid that I may not be able to finish it any sooner as I have exams coming on right after the vacation and now I’m busy studying. So I’d rather urge you not to wait for my opinion and play this beautiful game. I’m quite sure you’ll enjoy it.

My exams will be over at the end of this month then I’ll have plenty of time to play these amazing games. And I exclusively played stealth in Dishonored and I know these two games are different, but it would be nice to have a stealth element to the game. And best of luck with your exams bro.

  9. @the gaming wiz

My exams will also finish at the end of this month. I will continue the story from there. It looks like we both will be playing the game at same time. But you won’t find stealth in bioshock, even the melee kills are extremely strident and brutal. What I’m talking about is the powers you are given(they’re called Vigors in the game). Some of them do have a similarity to Dishonored’s. Like the power of possessing someone which makes them act like they’re on your side and you can use them to your advantage. Anyways, you will come to find out and understand it more when you play the game. Thanks for wishing me luck.
