Mass Effect 2 Will Have 2 Discs For PC And 360
Bioware has confirmed that the PC and 360 versions of Mass Effect 2 will have two discs, while the collector’s edition will have 3 discs with the bonus contents on the third one.
We PC owners are used to 2 disc installs but there is no install-option for 360 users, the disc has to be swapped at a certain point in-game. However, there is no back-and-forth disc swapping, you have to change the disc just once and continue playing on it. Chris Priestly, community coordinator of BioWare said, “Even though there is a disc swap, it occurs at a carefully planned place in the game (that does not interfere with gameplay) and is done once. You do not swap back and forth. 1 swap and then done.”
I guess the 360 is really hitting its limits in terms of optical storage capacity. Does anyone think that Forza Motorsport 3’s implementation was much better (where you installed the contents of the second disk on to your hard drive)?

No install? but the NXE update lets us install any game to the hard drive.. even if its 3 discs.. like star ocean IV. The install is just a image burn of the dvd onto the HDD … the 360 still reads the disc( or the image of the disc) only from a faster medium .. the hdd.. how can ME 2 not have this install ? or are u talkin bout an install similar to that of what we do on pcs..?

The install option just copies the contents of the disc to your 360 HDD. You still got to have the disc inside the tray to play it. Forza 3, however copies everything from the second disk to your HDD and you don’t need it anymore.
However, in ME2 you have to insert the second disc at a certain point of the game. Then, I believe, you can play it off the second disc without having to insert the first disc again. We’ll just have to wait and see. š

š” š” ok..gamin wiz and sng425 convinced me to get mass effect 2 (pc)..ok hear my story- bought mass effect 2 (brotherās computers 3 disk)..install startedā¦everything went well until disk 3ā¦it stopped after 40%..i changed it and got mass effect 2 (NPP dvd 3 disk)..and i got the same problem..i tried copying to hard disk..but the file wouldnt copy from disk 3..any suggestions?? š” š” š”

ahh i think forza’s way was better…i’m just wondering how many disc will GTA V have…moreover, i think mass effect choosed the swap options because lots of people don’t have hdd…

and as i read in a article GTA V will clock around 17gigs……may be i read it in IGN….and rockstars AI engineer gave a speech about x360’s disc space probs…….

If those discs don’t work, try downloading a trusted scene release of the game or download the clone ISO and then crack it. Alternatively, you can get the Xbox 360 version of the game as well.

well surprisingly the NPP dvd’s one had the readme which said IT Next šÆ !!..how did u install ur one? i doubt u faced the same prob.. š ..gonna exchange it for starcraft 2 if no other options are available.. š

well gta IV was 6.8 gigs on xbox 360, so 17 gigs is just gonna be awesome…it’s gonna be 2 disk i think…i hope it has a huge city…but in the long run i think ps 3 will also struggle cause xbox 360’s graphics is more superior than ps 3..

I have both GTA 4 and RDR but not originals, but i still play online and so far without any problems..I haven’t really played RDR online, but before i used to spend 2-3 hrs a day playing GTA 4 online..and bro take the risk of playing online, if you don’t your xbox 360 experience won’t be complete..Just follow these instruction to reduce your chances of getting BANNED…
1.Don’t go online at the end of the year (December).
2.Don’t go online just after the release of a huge game (COD,GTA,HALO)
3.Don’t go online on a free xbox 360 gold weekend.
4.Don’t go online when a new dashboard has been released recenty.
5.It’s better to always have gold when going online.

then buy 3 months gold subscription for tk 1600 @ Nadim.
and i got a request from you on xbl bro..I accepted it..my Gtag is tobrolivnt…and yah you can get upto 3months trial gold subscription from one xbox 360..create another gamertag and chose 1month gold live trial..you can do this three times..

i mean, do really xbox memberships (6 months) come with a xbox 360 slim….i saw it and its still valid…….does anyone kno about x36 gold membrships with slims…..??

that’s weird…but if the card is intact buy it, after all it’s your cousin you can obviously trust him..anyway the other way around is create another gtag..but you can do it only 3 times mind you that…
Anyway, i think in future xbox 360 gamer’s have to get used to buying a game @ tk 400..cause expect most of the games to be two discs..but still it is less comparing to legit games.
