If You Loved Fallout and Stalker, You’ll Love Metro 2033

Metro 2033 has been on my radar for some time. Developed by 4A Games (Russian developers who split from the Stalker dev team), Metro 2033 is set in a post apocalyptic world just like Fallout and Stalker. The unique feature of this game is that it takes place mainly in tight-quarters subway tunnels, where humanity has taken refuge. Each subway station has its distinct faction.

Based on the popular Eastern European cult novel Metro 2033 from Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky, Metro 2033 is set to release on PC and Xbox 360 sometime in 2010.

Check out IGN’s Fallout 3 vs. Metro 2033 feature article and the trailer below, which shows the dark world of Metro 2033:

[Update] Developer of Metro 2033, 4A Games, has confirmed the release date. Metro 2033 is set to release on March 16, 2010 on PC & Xbox 360.

  1. metro 2033 is also in my 2010 list .. waiting for this .. i kinda like apocalyptic game
stalker series is also my fav though didnt play call of pripyat

  2. Nice, I didnt make it to the end of Shadow of Chernobyl. Some of the quests were repetitive, though my friend completed it full. Call of Pripyat is supposed to release on Feb 2010 US, has the other releases made it to BD? Looking forward to Metro 2033, especially if it is story heavy.

  3. call of pripyat russian version is available in BD
