Kayne & Lynch 2 Will Feature Down-and-Dead Mechanic, 13 New Screens
Kayne & Lynch 2: Dog Days has been announced and will feature a unique mechanic, dubbed “down-and-dead”.
Basically it’s more like the second wind feat in Borderlands. If a one-shot manages to kill you, players will get a second chance. The camera will zoom in on to the guy who shot you so you can exact bloody revenge.
Kayne & Lynch 2 director Karsten Lund explains, “The camera will turn to the guy who downed you, and you’ll get a chance at shooting him, or you’ll need to crawl into cover and get back up [and] cawl away from the whole thing and move around on the ground.”
“The down-and-dead feature really latches onto the whole cover mechanic, and gives it a new dynamic feel. You not only stay in cover, you have to crawl into cover to get back up, to use cover in a different way. We have a lot of breakable cover, so you have to figure out which should be taken and which shouldn’t be taken.”
Kayne & Lynch 2 will also have online co-op and the game is expected to release on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2010.

why didn’t u guys played the 1st one?
Kane & Lynch: Dead Men was a great game.specially co-op mode was fun to play ! i played it with my cousin with his xbox 360 controller for windows ! since the first one was pretty good,i hope this will be much better than the first one !

Mainly because it got poor reviews and also the whole Gamespot scandal. I don’t know, it just left a bad impression. But I’m looking forward to K&L2

completely agree with u about the game’s bad impression…but still it was fun to play….
