Rumor: Forget Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty MMO In The Works

As outlandish as it may sound, Infinity Ward is rumored to be working hard on a Call of Duty MMO. Forget Modern Warfare 3. The internet went ablaze after Infinity Ward reportedly hired some folks from Sony Online Entertainment, including lead designer Jason “Dymus” Roberts of Ever Quest II. Ever Quest II is SOE’s flagship MMO.

This may be true, as Treyarch is supposed to be working on Call of Duty 7, set in Vietnam. And since Activision now owns Blizzard, Infinity Ward may be able to take some pointers from the world’s most popular MMO maker. Stay tuned.
