PS3 Slim Announcement Biggest News of 2009, Says Famitsu Readers

Readers (and retailers alike) of the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu voted that the announcement of the PS3 slim was the biggest news of 2009. That’s not surprising considering that PS3 sales grew by 104% or more than doubled due to the launch.

Famitsu has a weekly circulation base of 550,000 but only 224 valid reader votes (and 76 valid retailer votes) were cast. Here is the full list:
