  1. “DRM:

A permanent internet connection is required at all times during gameplay and requires creation of a Ubisoft account.”

    WTF????

  2. DRM
    still no hope .. ๐Ÿ™

  3. They couldnt crack it yet guys……… ๐Ÿ™

  4. PC gaming Is over for [email protected] have to buy a 360 for ac-2,Sc-conviction,pop-Forgotten Sand other titles that use DRM ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

  5. no its crackable.Already the beta version of the assassins creed 2 crack is released expect it to be cracked soon. And all this ubi soft game will be cracked but will take some time thats all.

  6. The internet connection being required at all times is really crap, but on some other sites I read you need a 1 mbps internet connection for this.
So not only i am scr**ed if my internet connection fails, but I also need to pay more money each month to upgrade my connection speed, while still keeping the problem if my roommates are using the internet connection as well ?!??
Does anybody know if this 1 mbps requirement is for real?

  7. @mrd

It seems that the hackers are able to crack the “DRM”…
So,you won’t need a internet connection all the time,If you play the pirated version of the game…

  8. I was glad to hear Splinter Cell conviction doesn’t need too much resources, so I did not have to go running around buying a new PC again. I was annoyed to hear about the constant internet connection.

Although I think it is a stupid DRM, having a constant internet connection is not a problem for me, it is the 1 mbps that gives me trouble. What does it mean? If you only have a 500 kbps, you simply cannot play the game, or does it lag more, does it only trouble us on multiplayer if you do not have 1 mbps?

I am not really against playing pirated games, I just feel a little more comfortable playing the legal version, especially if the game requires having a constant internet connection … I guess DRM is working :s.

  9. wtf r u guys r u talking about. Assassin’s creed to got cracked long ago. I finished the whole game…with the server emulator. So even if splinter cell conviction has a modified DRM to that of AC2, but it will surely be cracked

  10. @awe

    Nobody’s saying that It won’t get cracked…
It may take some time, that’s it..

Assassin’s Creed 2 got cracked after 3 weeks from the official release & 4 weeks from the scene release…
Which means,It almost took 1 month for the hackers to crack the game…
Which is not that fast enough…

  11. Thanking God inside of my heart that I’m not on UbiSoft’s place right now.

My Gamer Brothers, rejoice——–http://www.nfohump.com/index.php?switchto=nfos&menu=quicknav&item=viewnfo&id=144195———-

    God Bless ub!s0Ft.

  12. @everyone

Splinter Cell:Conviction has been properly cracked by SKIDROW and its available online now.Its was so fast because the base drm was cracked for assassins creed II so the other games based on this will be cracked faster than the first one’s.Anyway good luck to all and Happy Gaming cuz UBI SOFT DRM is a thing of the past .

(SLi_007 did mention it before but he was a bit vague so i reposted the info. Thanks SLi_007 for sharing the info.Kudos to SKIDROW for their deeds.)

    @SLi_007

Bro,say good bless SKIDROW not UBISOFT.Cuz UBISOFT has been on our nerves since the last few months and they had it coming .SKIDROW didnt only help the pirated users but also the genuine users. To sum it up they helped all the gamers .

  13. god*

  14. @SLi_007

    Thanks for posting the info,bro ! ๐Ÿ™‚
btw, Didn’t even thought that it’ll be cracked so fast…

    @Rabbi

“Splinter Cell:Conviction has been properly cracked by SKIDROW and its available online now.Its was so fast because the base drm was cracked for assassins creed II so the other games based on this will be cracked faster than the first oneโ€™s.”

But that’s what really got me worried, Bro.
I mean Ubisoft has already got to know that this drm will be cracked soon if they release anymore title with this one.
So, I don’t think they will be stupid enough to release anymore title with this one.
Instead, they might plan to deploy a hard-to-hack drm, That will be more hard to hack by those sceners…

“SKIDROW didnt only help the pirated users but also the genuine users. To sum it up they helped all the gamers.”

Yeah, Hats off to Skidrow for their deeds !
I mean, They helped a lot of gamers by hacking this drm.
    God bless Skidrow !

Anyway, Did got your hands on Tom clancy’s Splinter Cell : Conviction yet?
This game rocks ! I enjoyed it a lot from the start to the end !
Especially the mission in Lincoln memorial was the most fun & entertaining level in the whole game !(Atleast, That’s what I felt while playing the game!)

I hope you will enjoy the game as much as I did !

  15. @Sng425

yeah i hope to enjoy it too.I wont play this game anytime soon as my exam is a bit over a week.I will play this game after a month when my exam finishes.Good luck and Happy Gaming as always .

  16. as my exam will start a bit over a week from now*

  17. @Rabbi

Sounds a bit proper bro ๐Ÿ™‚ but i got to give it to ubiso’F’t. Investing millons of bucks dreaming to stop “piracy”…..which in turn ends up making the sceners more experienced than just one step ahead. We need ‘more’ of these developers ๐Ÿ˜› may they live long! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

  18. @SLi_007

i hope so but someday these developers may succeed so we cant say that.Or they may stop developing pc games if they give up.Anyway good luck & happy gaming!

  19. @SLi_007

Yeah, I think you’re right.
I’m feeling very bad for Ubisoft ! All of those investments made by them just got in vein !

Instead, They just made it hard for the legitimate gamers, who bought the original copy of AC 2 & SC : Conviction ! ๐Ÿ‘ฟ
Now they’ll have to stay online 24/7 to play the game !

I think those sceners just made it a lesson for them to learn, For not to take these type of steps in the future, As it’ll not work !

I don’t think that piracy will be stopped that easily, They just made those sceners more experienced & professional in cracking these games by experimenting with the drm !

  20. @Sng425

the only way piracy can be stopped if the genuine game distributors can go to the mass and tag a price which is kind of cheap & and affordable for that specific region then i think piracy will be stopped or at least it will go downhill.Kaspersky is trying to do something like that with its antivirus so lets see if this kinds of things happens for the game developers too in the future. But they should stop the pesky drm’s they have in their games now.

(all of it is my own opinion)

  21. @Rabbi

Developers “may” succeed someday, and the hackers will let it go? THAT easily…?? In front of their eyes??? Maybe you are referring about the day when the scene groups/hackers are gone, file sharing sites are closed…… We shouldn’t be worrying much as it won’t be anytime soon to witness this situation. Even if some developers got an insane fanasy, it will take billions of Franklins from them for achieving such picture [which they simply WON’T as they got to waste on developing other worst DRMs]. One possible effective way could be “simply” shutting off the internet…which is…umm…you know better! When they give up in developing pc titles,it would be very interesting to see how the graphics market shapes up. Even if they are clever enough and accepts their painful defeat, then all the sharp and avenging eyes will be on the consoles. Now they got the last option of pulling the plugs on consoles… In my personal view, I don’t think that companies like microsoft and sony will be happy to see such a cow that can’t milk…

It’s a tragedy that developers will never learn what REALLY matters and what’s not. Scene ace SKIDROW bashed and suggested ubisoft to improve their games rather to fall and fail hard on protections. For instance, Assassin’s Creed II is a very decent game…but after spending a ton on a pc, gamers should’ve deserved more. Afew tweaks in an age-old engine didn’t helped much to make the game a graphical brilliance as opposed to its predecessor. Gameplay suffers worst fps at times even in an ultra high-end configuration. The success formula is pretty simple… make atleast a game worthy(if not best) and sales will experience a significal boost… as the past recalls vividly.

Piracy is similar like corruption, diabetes, etc… none may stop these but the wiser can yet survive effectively by controlling it practically. As for the prices, it may not be impossible, but offering special prices on specific regions where the developers increase the already fortune-snatching prices of the top titles’ day one launch…it is very hard to expect such from them. Even if they do, it will take ages for any launched title to appear on indigenous sites.

The alarming rise in greedyness of developers is not only affecting their sales rate but also affects their game-quality too. Let us hope for the best of luck!

  22. @SLi_007

i didnt mention it about anytime soon but it can happen in future. Will everyone get the pirated copy if they can get the original copy cheaply dont forget about online muliplayer possibilities. So reducing the price can help to stop piracy and price should be tagged country wise.I really dont find myself looking for cracks 10 years from now.Piracy will be reduced to the extreme position and these groups can call it a day then who knows.

    (Its just my opinion)

  23. @Rabbi

I thinks Rabbi is right in this matter.

Why would anybody will get those pirated copys if they can get the original one in cheap rate.
And Original copys allows you to play online multiplayer whereas those pirated copys doesn’t.

  24. @Sng425

    Thanks for agreeing bro!
Its the future btw and we all looking forward to it :smile!

  25. @Rabbi

You don’t even need to mention particularly about anything in clouds of opinions. It’s not like it can happen in future, but may NOT seems too closely appropriate, if not COMPLETELY. What is yet to come in the near times is still part of the future. Yes, most of the gamers will end-up with pirated copies even after the legit copies would’ve gone cheap though with extended online features. This is because of the developers again who will get the opportunity to establish not-so-new trend of developing cheap quality games with low budgets and will definitely infuse it effectively to the mainstream of developing sessions. After 10 years, given the foolish, guaranteed moves of developers, these groups will be far more advanced in experience and you will not only be looking for cracks but ALSO the multiplayer cracks too.

    @Sng425

Price IS an issue. But if it was considered as major and serious threat in the prime causes of piracy…then we wouldn’t be seeing success in online feature-heavy titles like battlefield or call of duty series, perhaps we might not even knew whether developers like activision ,ea, ubisoft were ever existed!

Oh by the way, proper MULTIPLAYER crack for Splinter Cell Conviction is out. Enjoy!

  26. Forgot to mention that it is the outstanding scene group SKIDROW for cracking the game’s (Splinter Cell Conviction) Multiplayer.

  27. @SLi_007

i dont want to go on a debate with this but what we are saying is exactly an opionion not a fact.I thought as Kaspersky are selling their genuine antivirus software in a really cheap price than abroad even i have the original and its not a product for cheap price. In India GTA IV genuine is tagged around 550RS and assassins creed II is over 1000RS seeing the kaspersky price tag in bangladesh and the Indian pc genuine games price i thought it could come to Bangladesh someday where we can buy it for around 300-500tk in future so i told that. But i didnt tell piracy will be killed but it will lower to its extreme point rather than high curves which we find currently. Its good to know SKIDROW cracked the multiplayer of splinter cell:Conviction.Anyway good luck and Happy Gaming !

  28. @SLi_007

*not all games multiplayer modes are cracked by these scene groups!

  29. @Rabbi

There we go again ๐Ÿ™„ … We are gamers ๐Ÿ™‚ and we are simply making this site alive ๐Ÿ˜€ . What i knew was that we are free here to discuss our own views, opinions, facts. Now if the facts corrects a little of your opinions, and you are suspicious on debates…come on,this can’t be brainer, let us be in sport. Most of your invaluable opinions on antiviruses, softwares are more than just fine. But some of them were severely discouraging for a gamer…like your opinion on the fate of pc gaming where developers may stop making pc titles and believe me i can assure that it will NEVER going to happen because companies like nvidia, ati, intel will simply not sit at that very moment. Also as long as the scenes are on the scenes  they will NEVER give up no matter what and will NEVER give any tyrant developer a day which was not only you but most of us were afraid of, even me myself some days ago which i managed to overcome by understanding reasonble grounds. *Want multiplayer games to get cracked? Wait some years as opposed to decade, as this is just the beginning… cracking an arrogant drm in single player and now moving on to the online based multiplayer is more than just a phenomenal gift and step from SKIDROW. All hails go to them! Wishing everyone in good luck and great gaming!

  30. @SLi_007

i meant i wasnt going for a long debate but not quitting it.Its all are just views and i know that all my views wont be a fact. Both of us have views from different ends as every person’s views varies.Like if the multiplayer gets cracked all the time like singleplayer for a pc game then who will want to buy a genuine game.Cuz most of the people who are buying genuine games are for the multiplayer facilities. But if the genuine game gets cheap then everyone will buy it cuz we are helping the developers in the process and enjoying a legit stuff. But you said they will do a low quality product if the price is low.I exactly think the opposite as if the price is cheap more people will buy it and more sales will be in return even though they are getting less profit per piece more sales will back it off may even be getting more profit than it is now by this process. But its the future btw……lets see what happens.Anyway have a good time playing Splinter Cell:Conviction .

  31. @Rabbi

Hmm…let us hope and pray that one day developers could understand the ancient but yet most effctive formula of more sales by lowering the price which ea did with bad company 2 recently… Forgot this proceedure long ago in a flash of a second with frustrations and grew cynical when ubisoft stabbed us in the heart with its new drm. Thanks for reminding bro ๐Ÿ™‚ ! Atleast got myself a crooked way ๐Ÿ˜€ for playing my legit copy of splinter cell conviction that i got last day without spending on 1MB connection per month. Yeah man hope you are enjoying it too, the game is FTW!

  32. @SLi_007

i agree.UBI SOFT drm is done and dusted.I think that they are going to tweak the drm but it will still be taken out by SKIDROW the leading force as they are experienced in this field of work now.Anyway,I was also angry with the so called unbreakable drm from ubi but we finally had our day and UBI is pissed at the moment. The main reason we dont buy legit games as they are costly but if this scenario changes these developers may succeed. They need to open up their mind or things will never change.I am downloading my copy of splinter cell: conviction i dont think i am gonna play it anytime soon as my exams are knocking at the door. After my exams i will try it out.Anyway have a blast  with Splinter Cell:Conviction!

  33. @SLi_007

“perhaps we might not even knew whether developers like activision ,ea, ubisoft were ever existed!”

Bro, What I’m trying to say is, If we don’t support the developers then who the hell is gonna do that?
After all, Developers put all their invaluable time & hard work on making a game, And If we don’t support them & buy the original copy of the game, Then one day they might give up, Cus none of this company will exist if they can’t make profit on what they’re doing.

And as you may know, Few days ago, A swedish video game developer “Grin” (The developer behind Wanted: Weapons of fate, Terminator Salvation, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (PC), Bionic Commando etc.) officially closed their video game production due to bankruptcy, After having a series of financial loss in their developed games.

After all, Financial succession also matters in this fact, bro.
If they can’t afford to pay their creditors, The company itself will never exist.

And What the hell can those sceners do if they can’t even find any game to crack?
The developers out there does all the hard work to make a game and if they stop developing games then there won’t be even any single game left to crack.

So, We should try our best to support the developers instead of supporting those sceners, Hackers & pirates.
But that won’t be possible for us Bangladeshis, Unless those original games will be available in cheaper prices.
Cus, It is almost impossible for a third world country like Bangladesh to buy those expensive stuff unless they are available in cheaper price.

And that’s what I was trying to say,bro !

  34. @Rabbi

“*not all games multiplayer modes are cracked by these scene groups!”

    You’re absolutely right,bro ! ๐Ÿ™‚
I wonder how many pirated games gets to see a multiplayer crack for itself?

  35. @Sng425

Thats the point i was trying to prove. Thanks bro you made my comments worthwhile .I am looking forward to that greeny future where we will play the games with dignity and pride as well as helping the developers in the process. We will feel cleansed after all these years that time.

  36. @Rabbi

We were trying to say the same old thing, bro ! ๐Ÿ™‚
And guess what, we’ve already shown our point !

“I am looking forward to that greeny future where we will play the games with dignity and pride as well as helping the developers in the process. We will feel cleansed after all these years that time.”

We will not just only feel cleansed, moreover we will be a part of those things that we were missing out ! ๐Ÿ˜›

Such as playing online multiplayer, Getting full support from the developers for using their original products, Being a legitimate gamer, getting full freedom from using those 3rd party softwares & cracks to play the game etc.

  37. @Sng425

    I agree !
Better for Gamers and Devs as well.
Anyway the site seems kinda dead and it seems its the right time for a new article.Hope you will submit ur Splinter Cell: Conviction in-depth review soon!It will be a really good favor before the Gaming Wiz himself comes back with tons of new stuff.
Anyway good luck & Happy Gaming as always !

  38. @Rabbi

“Hope you will submit ur Splinter Cell: Conviction in-depth review soon!It will be a really good favor before the Gaming Wiz himself comes back with tons of new stuff.”

I can’t do that, bro. Only the administrator has access to this blog.
And without the help of Gaming Wiz, It’s almost impossible for me to post any review…
Since he is the only one who can post any article in this blog.

So, I can’t post the review unless the site relaunches….

  39. @Sng425

i know about these restrictions as ur not the admin. But the site was down before you and thesituation submitted 3 reviews together. As far as i thought u may have contacted the gaming wiz via e-mail or w/e and after getting the mail the gaming wiz posted your reviews. So i thought u cud do the same again even though the site is down .Anyway good luck and happy gaming :|!

  40. *

  41. *

  42. @Rabbi

Correction : My review was published before GWB closed back in February.
I don’t know why did you had this confusion, Cus the review is still living on the homepage of GWB.
And You can see that the review was posted before GWB was closed !

Although, I don’t know how did thesituation managed it to post those two reviews while the site was down…

  43. @Sng425

i am sorry ๐Ÿ™ i forgot the time frame. But i am sure about thesituation’s review that it was posted when the site was down.Sorry, again for the mistake.Anyway cant wait for the site’s relaunch when its gonna have a lot of new articles and stuffs including your review.Anyway good luck and happy gaming  as always!

  44. @Rabbi & Sng425

What i really wanted to see is that i’m wrong in this matter if not totally. And i am truely glad and will be very happy to see IF the future favors your opinions…

“I am looking forward to that greeny future where we will play the games with dignity and pride as well as helping the developers in the process. We will feel cleansed after all these years that time”

“We will not just only feel cleansed, moreover we will be a part of those things that we were missing out!”

But no, the way things are forwarding these days, the road to the bright future grows narrower.

“Bro, What Iโ€™m trying to say is, If we donโ€™t support the developers then who the hell…………So, We should try our best to support the developers instead of supporting those sceners, Hackers & pirates…….”

See the respect for developers you have in you? I had it too a year ago…unbelievable i guess…but after the announcement of some immoral drms, my trust in developers was changing rapidly. I personally had a conversation with The GameWiz regarding the subject in this link-

    http://www.gamersworldbd.com/2010/02/command-and-conquer-4-screens.html#comment-13950

I bought a legit assassin’s creed copy and loved it. After the sequel’s announcement, i had a dream of having the game’s black edition copy. That never happened…my dream faded not only because of the drm, but also because of how legit and SUPPORTING customers like me were treated by the developer.

“Thats the point i was trying to prove. Thanks bro you made my comments worthwhile. I am looking forward to that greeny future where we will play the games with dignity and pride as well as helping the developers in the process. We will feel cleansed after all these years that time.”

Proving points leading greeny future are ideal and are more than just welcome, helping the developers who entertain us in the process, but do you think that they even CARE for their supporters now like they did before? If so, then good luck with your opinions.

If you are thinking otherwise, then you’ll have even more to think about. For splinter cell conviction, my pains were even bitter. I loved the series upto chaos theory and after the distaste of the fouth chapter aka double agent i was looking forward for the next sequel to see if my once-favourite developer ubisoft would make the fifth chapter worth and therefore preordered it just like i did with most of the series’s sequels around 3rd quarter of 2007. That was a hell of an anticipation and perhaps my worst and soon to be the only last game i preordered in my life.

First, some lengthy sessions of delay, then comes the need of 24/7 internet EVEN FOR SINGLE PLAYER MODE! Yes, i’ve internet but it’s nowhere near that minimum required speed nor constantly stable. Why i loved chaos theory even after controversial protection it got because it meant no direct harm to customers, who were helping developers to extend their studios. But among the legit owners, who would’ve thought that the developers were abusing the supports in developing infamous drms instead of optimizing the games to run better on pc like ac2 or sc:c and would be treated worst like pirates…..

“Such as playing online multiplayer, Getting full support from the developers for using their original products, Being a legitimate gamer, getting full freedom from using those 3rd party softwares & cracks to play the game etc.”

Swedish developer grin was shut down not only because of piracy but they paved the way of their fate by their own hands. Just look at their games… most of the games are mediocre to abysmal in critic ratings. One interesting thing you people may notice is that about graw1 which is a multiple award winning title, but most of those were achieved with xbox360 version by Red Storm Entertainment as opposed to grin’s less {but not fully} entertaining pc version.

“After all, Financial succession also matters in this fact, bro.
If they canโ€™t afford to pay their creditors, The company itself will never exist”

My Bro Sng425, i would’ve agreed completely with you if it was a year back…An eye for an eye makes the world blind. But in some similar scenerios, this may come as more than just an option. Piracy is a vague concept and this concept is being used [or abused to be precise]
pretty much like a smokescreen by well known industries. It may be hard to believe a statement which came out of nowhere, so here is a link [http://www.fudzilla.com/content/view/18665/1/] and will be glad if it helps you to believe a bit.

“And What the hell can those sceners do if they canโ€™t even find any game to crack?
The developers out there does all the hard work to make a game and if they stop developing games then there wonโ€™t be even any single game left to crack.”

Developers have some tendency to spam hoaxes concerning piracy all over the net, claiming piracy is making their markets dead. People sort of believed and still believe that statement… and it’s normal because of the superior propaganda the developers take advantages from the cunning method. Now the question is then how the sceners crack games if piracy is already killing the pc game indusrty?

Piracy IS an issue. But its nowhere to bankrupt up-and-running companies. Developers should have abandoned pc platform long ago if the piracy rates they claim were completely real. Modern warfare 2 for example, definitely is the most pirated game last year. Notice that how can we tell that the numbers on the papers are 99% percent if it was unbiasedly taken in account that some users bought a legit copy but cracked it to avoid unnecessary hassles…..? We may never now, but take ME for an example.

Since this site is NOT only limited to comments, opinions but also includes depth analysis with recent trends, it is better for us to go in depth. Your optimism in future about equity in aspects from both the developer and the supporting gamer where developers lowering the price and gamers preferring legit method ditching technical hassles without the need to apply critical cracks feel just like in HEAVEN! YES!! HEAVEN!!! Saw the launching price on assassin’s creed 2? It was supposed to be lower with such unforgiving drms, instead ubisoft simply increased the value by $10. And ubisoft, like most of the other developers need not to be worrying much about “piracy” as it doesn’t hurt them much, if it did, then they will simply jump only on consoles like bad company 1 which proved EA wrong in some manner no matter how they pretend in public with other excuses. All they want is simply to increase the price and want mass-gross-revenue profits.

You may find me insane, but personally, I simply will not be counting some rooms for such developers as they are simply making their clients to loose trust in them and proving themselves worthy of a betrayer. Its better to see such industries ( but not all of them b.t.w.) to collapse and fall hard that don’t even know how to behave with legit buyers.

Long story short—– supporting developer “{commercial}friends” who don’t give a damn to people who made them to reach their status sky-high today is anything but…….. okay, i’ll leave that for individuals’ own invalued and suggeting views and opinions.

    @Sng425

Yeah man it’s been a very long time since you posted a decent review  . Hope GameWiz returns soon with plethora of high-octane news ๐Ÿ˜‰ . Anticipating this site to get back in action! ๐Ÿ˜€

And ofcourse to all, have a nice day in gaming!

  45. @SLi_007

you proved your point but we were optimistic about the future where developers take a u-turn to be one with the gamers and still there is a possibility.Anyway, there are two alternative paths for the devs to move on lets see which path the developers cross but its the future right lets see how it turns out.Anyway good luck & happy gaming .

  46. @Rabbi

I still pray everyday that i’m wrong and things get better like the way the developers and me myself were once used to to be. Let us hope for the best bro. Long live happy gaming  .

  47. @SLi_007

    Whoa, Man ! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ A very long post indeed…

Okay, You made your point & I understood what you’re actually trying to say…

But still don’t you think that, They (Developers) wouldn’t make these drms if we didn’t bring that situation here by using those pirated softwares instead of using their original products?

They have to stop piracy if they wanna continue their bussinesses, Otherwise they might also end up like “Grin”…

And creating those drms was just another step to stop & prevent piracy from destroying all their creative hard work…
But unfortunately they just failed for once again in this war between the developers & the sceners(And those sceners just won once again!)…
And better not to mention, They also made some legit users very angry ๐Ÿ‘ฟ by taking this kind of step, As this wasn’t expected from the developers at all…

“Swedish developer grin was shut down not only because of piracy but they paved the way of their fate by their own hands. Just look at their gamesโ€ฆ most of the games are mediocre to abysmal in critic ratings”

Yeah, You are right, all of those recently released games by this developer were flopped, Both critically & commercially…

But I wasn’t pointing that out, All I was trying to say was about the financial loss the company had in the last year…
That serious financial loss just made the company to close even though their creditors weren’t even responsible for this !

Although, Grin wasn’t an “outstanding” developer, Nor any of their game has ever got a 10/10…
But Grin wasn’t that “bad” also, And you’ll get it if you look in the the company’s game developing history…

Anyway, Getting back to the point, We still don’t know, That the developers will ever succeed or not in this war against piracy …
However, There is also a chance that one day the developers may succeed. But for now, That’s just a dream for those game developers out there. Isn’t it?

  48. I am surprised to find such an amazing discussion on piracy in this outdated article. Great stuff guys, PC gaming wont die ever that’s for sure. Piracy control in bangladesh rests on Government too so that could go either way. The videogame market is huge and in fact grossed more than the film industry in the great economic recession.

Putting a stop to software/media/videogame piracy in Bangladesh could have serious ramifications/consequences for the economy. This topic as interesting as it is, has economic properties to it. Taxing, quota and licensing.

I personally wouldn’t mind if Bangladesh went LEGIT maybe within the next 10 years. EVERYTHING Original. Yes many shops will have to close down, crores of resources will have to diverted. But whoever wants to get free games (i will surely do that) can head onto a torrent site and get everything they can. There is always that choice, thats what people in the US does as well as in the UK.

The reason for my opinion has to reasons: 1 being govt can earn some money from all the licensing and tax. 2 being BANGLADESH WILL BE ILLEGIBLE FOR:

Worldwide releases like the Sept. 14 release of Reach or movies like Avatar.

we will get them when the rest of the world gets it. Banning piracy in stores will be another step towards a developed country.

There could be 1 big disadvantage to this possible move: A LOT OF PEOPLE will not be able to afford games like they used to or the fast internet needed to download games. Well to that i will say nowhere in this world gaming is cheap, its an expensive hobby. Might as well deal with now than later

ps. good to see all of you still posting and having fun

It’s good to have you back in GWB. I’m hoping for some good reviews from you in the future, bro. And why don’t you make a review of Alan wake(for GWB)?

Yesterday, I saw on xbox live., That you almost completed the game with max. possible achievements. Which means you did finish the game properly & undoubtedly you can make a decent review of it.

I’m also preparing myself for an in-depth review of Tom clancy’s Splinter Cell : Conviction which is out for a while now in the stores & also made a great score from the critics.

I hope to come up with it in the next month when Gamers world bd will relaunch. Till then, Stay well & happy gaming !

Well, XP is really old and without playing Conviction on XP, I really can’t help you. Sorry on that one. Best to upgrade your drivers first of all. Also, get the Conviction PC patch and related cracks. This link has helpful solutions:
