Sony Confirms: PS Jailbreak Hack Actually Works, Detectable And Bannable On PSN

We’ve already reported the first ever working PS3 hack, dubbed “PS Jailbreak” which allows playing of “backup” PS3 games.

The software known as PS Jailbreak, comes on a pre-loaded USB drive. Once installed, the software allows copying of game data to the USB drive and playing the “backup” copy on other PS3s. It works with the current 3.41 firmware.

Now, iTwire has had confirmation from Sony Australia that the hack really does work.

Moreover, PS3hax believes the hack is detectable and Sony may ban PS3s that it detects using the hack.
