Back In The Game: Infinity Ward “Reconstructed”, Says Vivendi CEO

The Infinity-Ward-Activision debacle, with heads Jason West and Vince Zampella and others leaving the studio may have had taken its toll on the studio. But they’re certainly not out of the picture and is now back at former strength.

Vivendi chairman and CEO Jean-Bernard Levy said at an investors call that Activision has “got over” the problems and fully rebuilt Infinity Ward. “We have reconstructed Infinity Ward, [and] we are very happy with the way we have been able to reconstruct it,” said Levy.

Previously, Activision boss Bobby Kotick has claimed that Infinity Ward is still staffed by developers who are “amazingly capable” of making great games.
