Gran Turismo 5 AI “Has A Long Way To Go”

Gran Turismo 5 has a lot of work in hand as computer AI is concerned, but the years of waiting maybe worth it.

This is what the OPM magazine’s (#52) latest issue says, it puts the game in its paces to find out  “The truth about Gran Turismo 5” in an interesting six page article.

OPM says “Curious to test my virtual opponents’ skill, I slam on the anchors and my immediate followers waste little time in powering past,”

All seems good so far for Sony’s multiple times delayed racer.

The article continues “But just as things are looking promising, carnage ensues”.

The feature also says “Even though my car is easily avoidable, parked on the side of a wide straight, I watch the rear view hoping the next batch of rapidly approaching cars do the smart thing and veer around, but they don’t and in that fraction of a second, the impact reverberates beyond the DualShock3.

PSM also says that  “Gran Turismo 5’s AI remains a long way short of passing the Turing Test.”

OPM means to say that it seems like the AI has lost some much needed attention to other areas of the game such as graphics and content.

The magazine also labels the game as “unquestionably the most complete Gran Turismo experience to date. All those years waiting have been worth it.”

Gran Turismo 5 will be released on 24th November. That’s a Wednesday, so stay with us for more Gran Turismo 5 news.

  1. Man, watching PSM3 get Gran Turismo 5 in their mail and booting it up made me drool.

  2. Man o Man.. I really want GT5!
But I got a question. I have a logitech racing wheel for my 360 which I use to play Forza and other racers as well. Is there any converter available that allows a 360 controller to work on ps3 cuz I don’t wanna buy another wheel. I read about a thing called “XCM XCBA Cross battle adapter” that does this but I want to know if such a thing is available in BD. If anyone knows about it please let me know.

    Thanks!

Nope, you’ll have a hard time finding such an adapter in BD market. Best if you import the adapter from abroad, if possible

Thanks for the info. I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to get it here. I might go to Dubai in January, I’ll look for it there.

    God Bless GT5
