EA Will Make Fewer Games In 2011 Than 2010

EA has announced that it has plans to produce fewer games in fiscal year 2011 and wants to produce fewer, more high quality games. Fine by us.

EA plans to release between 20 and 30 titles in fiscal 2011, whereas they released 35 games in 2010 and a whopping 50 in 2009.

EA boss John Riccitiello said at the Reuters Global Media Summit:

“I don’t think it goes to 10 or 15 or even less than 20, but there’s some number probably between the low 20s and the high 20s that’s right,” he predicted.”

High profile titles for next year include Crysis 2, Dead Space 2, Bulletstorm and possibly Battlefield 3.
