Sony Introducing PlayStation Rewards Program In Early 2011

Hot on the heels of Microsoft’s Xbox Live Rewards program, Sony is about to launch their PlayStation Rewards program in early 2011 (North America only at the moment) with a beta ongoing right now.

Doing any of the following activities nets you rewards:

== Game titles purchased (no rewards for used games)
== Purchases from the PlayStation Store
== Purchases made within PlayStation Home
== Videos rented and purchased from the PSN Video Download Service
== Consumer engagement, such as Blog/Forum activity, Beta test participation, etc.

And here are the rewards you can unlock:

== Exclusive PlayStation®Network avatars
== Dynamic themes
== PlayStation Home content
== Member-only sweepstakes, events, and giveaways
== Monthly PS Rewards emails with news, program updates, and opportunities.
