Sony Loses Case In Spain, Users Can Legally Buy PSJailbreak

Sony previously banned retailers in Spain from selling PS Jailbreak which allows PS3 gamers to play “backup” copies of games.

The retailers in turn sued Sony and won the case. So, it is actually legal to buy PSJailbreak in Spain.

Here’s what the translation (via Nicagamerz) reads: “One of the reasons that the trial was based on is that SONY [removed] the [option to use] GNU / Linux [and] a number of features that were later removed. [The court ruled that] the user can do whatever you want with [the] console [you] purchased allowing you to enter including the “guts” of the console with full right and one’s Playstation 3 is not only used exclusively to play original games from Sony.”
