Valve On Intel’s New Core CPUs, “A Game Changer”

PC gaming is on a roll here. Intel has announced the newest line of Core i3, i5 and i7 processors. This second generation of processors have garnered lots of love, including Valve’s Gabe Newell dubbing it “a game changer.”

Speaking at the processor’s reveal at CES, Newell said that the new processors will “allow for a console-like experience on the PC.”

Mooly Eden, general manager of the PC Client Group at Intel, said it “represents the biggest advance in computing performance and capabilities over any other previous generation”.

    It’s really not that expensive. The Intel core i7 2600K costs around $300 bucks.

    The last gen (and still the performance king) 6 core, i7 980 costs a budget busting $1000+.
