Why Xbox One Is Not The Xbox 720, The Power Of 3 Xbox Ones In One, Achievements For Watching TV And Halo 3 Finally For PC?

We kinda liked the name Xbox 720. When Microsoft revealed that it was going to be called the Xbox One we were a tad taken aback. The reason why Microsoft went with the name is because the company wants it to be the one stop source of entertainment in the living room.

If you buy an Xbox One, it will automatically come packed with three times the power thanks to cloud computing. By off-sourcing processing task to servers in the internet, game developers can have “roughly three times the resources available”. Except when the internet cuts out or your internet plain sucks, in that case you have to make do with only one Xbox One.

Like watching TV? Now there’s an even better reason to spend the entire day on the couch thanks to achievement for watching certain programs. An Xbox One patent has surfaced describing the possibility.

Next, a Halo “Bootcamp” appeared on Korea’s ratings board, hinting it could be a port of Halo 3 on the PC. “What’s Bootcamp? It is not related to our Xbox One efforts, or the Reclaimer Saga, but rather a project we’re very enthusiastic about and will have more to say about in the near future,” Microsoft said.

And finally. If playing video games all day on a console is not enough and you need someone else to talk to, there’s the Xbox One. Microsoft is currently testing out iPhone-esque Siri-like features for the upcoming console. Now it’s an even better reason to not have any social contact whatsoever.

Bonus: I’m a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series and am excited about the upcoming MMO, dubbed Elder Scrolls Online. Be sure to check out the preview.
