Take A Look At Battlefield 4 With These Leaked Images, Microsoft Praises The Last of Us, Witcher 3 Wild Hunt News, Assassin’s Creed Creator Sues Ubisoft For $400K And The Walking Dead

Hello all and welcome back. Someone has been resourceful enough to grab a handful of in-game screenshots from the upcoming Battlefield 4. It’s mainly alpha footage, with missing/bland textures and things you’d expect in a game you’re not supposed to see. If you can’t help yourself, take a look here. But don’t go screaming if it doesn’t look anything next-gen yet.

We know that The Last of Us is going to rock our socks off (is that even a phrase?). But is it so good that your competitor has to come out and say so? Now that’s something.

Microsoft’s Major Nelson has congratulated Naughty Dog on what “looks like a solid game.” He also added, “nice to see it getting recognized in the reviews.”

But what he actually meant to say (and I’m being a bit liberal here), “OMG! ZOMG! When can I get my grubby hands on this game?! Pffftt so called being recognized by reviewers. It’s totally blowing the reviewers out of the water! I mean when was the last time that Halo got a 10/10? I wish we still hadn’t closed off our first party studios, instead of focusing on Halo 4, 5, 6 ad infinitum!”

Note: Any resemblance of the last quote to any living/dead/Microsoft employee is purely a coincidence and doesn’t mean that you should sue us. Just concentrate on making original games!

Whew. Onto the Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. Video gaming magazine Edge did a spread on the game and here are the good bits leaked online:

Geralt can dodge during combat. He can choose to spare or kill and loot bandits defeated in combat. A Witcher sense has been added to the game similar to Batman’s Detective mode. The game is supposed to be over 100 hours long, with 40-50 hours in the main story line and the rest in side quests and exploring the world. Choice and consequences will have a much bigger impact and CD Projekt Red is focusing more on telling a uniquely crafted story this time around.

In other news, Patrice Désilets has sued Ubisoft For $400,000. What does he want apart from the money? The rights to purchase 1666: Amsterdam and subsequently make the game which he was previously working at THQ. More on the nerve-wracking court room soap opera here.

Finally, the fifth character from The Walking Dead has been revealed to be Wyatt.
