Xbox One Will Not Require 24 Hrs Internet Connection And Will Play Used Games

Microsoft has finally pulled their heads out of the gutter. They have finally announced today that the Xbox One will not require to check in online every 24 hours to play offline games.

Don Mattrick, the president of Microsoft’s Entertainment business said, “After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.”

It will also have no restrictions on playing used games.

“There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.”

And there you have it. Microsoft has finally listened to us and we can breathe a sigh of relief. I’m excited about the Xbox One once again.

So am I. But I think Ms did it because they had to stay in the competition with Sony. Sooner or later it would have happened, but its nevertheless great to see that Ms realised it before the release of the console and went head to head again with Sony.
