Lord Of The Rings Online Revenue “Tripled” After MMO Goes Free-To-Play

Lord of the Rings online MMO developer Turbine has said that revenue from the game has “tripled” after the game went free-to-play since September 2010. In addition, the MMO gained over one million new subscribers and saw an increase of 20% return of former users. “Free” is the new money these days with MMOs.

Sony: 60 Million Users On PlayStation Network
