WSJ Corrects StarCraft II $100M Figure

Previously we wrote that the Wall Street Journal reported that Blizard has so much faith in StarCraft II that it has spent more than $100 million in producing the game.

Seems they got the facts a bit mixed up. StarCraft II did not take $100 million to develop. It was actually World of Warcraft.

Here’s the full correction:

Activision Blizzard Inc. hasn’t disclosed development costs for its Starcraft II videogame. A July 16 Technology article about the Starcraft sequel incorrectly said the company spent more than $100 million to develop the game; that figure referred to its World of Warcraft game.
