Analyst: GTA V Unlikely To Release Before 2012

Janco Partner’s analyst Mike Hickey predicts that it’s unlikely GTA V will release before 2012.

This comes after Hickey issued an analyst note, which laid out some predictions for the New York-based publisher.

Hickey believes it will be yet another blockbuster and could sell up to 16 million copies and possibly generate $750 by itself.

The predictions were made after Take-Two’s recent announcementย to shift its fiscal year to end on March 31.

It is also rumored that GTA V could possibly be based in Hollywood.

  1. its no surprise GTA V will release that late because take two already got their hands full with LA Noire and max payne 3 ๐Ÿ™„ but im dying for another gta or red dead game ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

  2. @gamerkid69

    Even though LA Noire is on it’s way to debut next year but still this news really pissed off all the die-hard GTA fans(including myself)who were expecting the next iteration of the series to release within 2011! ๐Ÿ™ Thankfully, it’s just a prediction, Rockstar hasn’t officially announced anything about it! ๐Ÿ˜›

  3. @sng425

    I sure hope so! ๐Ÿ™ i’ll keep my fingers crossed and hope for an early release,btw Niko is my favorite GTA protagonist :mrgreen:

    “btw Niko is my favorite GTA protagonist :mrgreen:”

    Mine too! ๐Ÿ˜› But Tommy Vercetti from GTA Vice city was great as well! :mrgreen:

  5. @sng425

    “Tommy Vercetti from GTA Vice city was great as well! ”

    He’s my 2nd favorite :mrgreen: ….what’s your favorite city? It’s Vice City for me ๐Ÿ™„

  6. ok i made some funny calculation, which i know is stupid..but here it is

    GTA VICE CITY released in 2003
    2yr gap
    GTA SANANDREAS released in 2005
    3yr gap
    GTA IV released in 2008
    4yr gap
    GTA V might be released in 2012

    the last thing i hope is gta VI doesn’t get released in 2017..which most probably won’t happen..anyway this yr they released rdr to keep the gta fans satisfied , next yr they’ll release LA Noire to keep the gta fans satisfied..but GTA is better than all these games..the best game rockstar made is GTA after that Bully…

    Anyway , i hope GTA V is really big..GTA IV was just too small when comparing with the classical GTA sanandreas..

  7. @gamerkid69

    “whatโ€™s your favorite city? Itโ€™s Vice City for me :roll:”

    Vice City is also my favorite and I would like to sea a third instauration of this wonderful City within the next game of the franchise! :mrgreen:

  8. Tommy Vercetti for me too as I grew up with GTA Vice City and GTA=Vercetti for me. But I admit, Rockstar fleshed out Niko’s character better.

    And that’s a pretty nice calculation xlivnt. You can look at it this way: even though the city size decreased from SA, but IV had better graphics, control and an overall better quality than previous GTAs. If that’s the case GTA V will be mind blowing :mrgreen:

  9. @Everyone

    At this point we can only dream about how GTA V turn out to be…this is so frustrating! ๐Ÿ˜ฅ I wanna see at least a glimpse of GTA V ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

    @xvlint
    Pretty nice calculation bro :mrgreen:

    @sng425
    me too! I’m dying for a modern Vice City ๐Ÿ™„

    @The Gaming Wiz

    As for GTA Vice City, I think we all know it was the most popular and fun video-game among all BD gamers for 5 years I think :mrgreen: It never got old and I’d been addicted to it until San Andreas released, this proves how essential the GTA is to gamers all around the world ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  10. @The Gaming Wiz/Mushfiqur Rahman

    Even though GTA IV had better graphics, control and overall better quality than it’s previous predecessors but still San Andreas was far more “advanced” than any other game and at the same time it offered us a great experience which was completely inconceivable at that time. :mrgreen:

  11. cool ๐Ÿ˜€ that would b pretty better for me ….
