Deus Ex: Human Revolution Release Delayed As Square Enix Profit Dives

Square Enix, publishers of the upcoming Deus Ex: Human Revolution, has delayed the game to the company’s next fiscal year from its intended “early 2011” release.

The game will now release after April 2011. Square Enix issued the following statement that they will use the time to “further polish” Human Revolution:

“We therefore have decided to spend additional time to further polish our upcoming game, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, resulting in a shift in release timing from our prior plan of the current fiscal year to next fiscal year.

Sqaure Enix also slashed its profit forecast by 92% for the current fiscal year by 91.7 per cent to ¥1 billion ($12 million)
