Valve Unveil “Cross Platform Play” For PS3 And PC With Steam

PS3 Portal 2 will introduce Steam on a console for the very first time and supports cross platform multiplayer and chat, plus cloud-based storage. PC, Mac and PS3 gamers can enjoy each other’s company with Portal 2. Those who buy the PS3 copy also get a free key for the PC/Mac version. Read more here.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Coming To PS3 And 360 This Year, First Trailer Incoming

Square-Enix, at a Japanese event, has just announced Final Fantasy XIII-2, a game the company says will be released this year for PS3 and Xbox 360. The director of FFXIII, Motomu Toriyama, will direct this one also, with Yoshinori Kitase retaining his producer role. Read more here.

Halo Has “Something For Everyone”

Microsoft’s Frank O’Connor reveals Halo’s super secret forumla of success and it’s that the games in the series have “something for everyone” to enjoy. Halo sports a “deep, rewarding sandbox” of vehicles, cool and exotic weapons – plus some “challenging AI.” Still “a lot of folks” haven’t succumbed yet. Read more here.
